Many of our followers are involved in various patriotic groups on social media websites like facebook. We’re writing this article for them to update people on the Oregon Militia fallout and how it may affect some of these communities.
Ritzheimer had a rather large following. On top of that many leaders of various patriotic communities were friends with him. He is now incarcerated after feds requested he turn himself in. He turned himself in without incident in Arizona. He had a hearing, but remains incarcerated, we believe his next court date is February 2nd.
This incident, and the upcoming legal battle deals a significant blow to the associated communities. Ritzheimer will have to focus on fighting the legal battle first and foremost.
Blaine Cooper is another leader of several patriotic communities whom also has a large following. He does appear to be fine, he left Wednesday we believe, a day after the first arrests. He is keeping an extremely low profile.
The jury is still out on the legal consequences Cooper may face. With the arrest of Ritzheimer, it’s obvious the feds are going after the leaders of the Militia. Cooper was considered one of the higher ups, so it is unknown at this time if the Feds will persue charges against him. It is definitely possible…If you’ve been following the situation you’ll know the issue now with the 5 remaining militiamen is that the feds are trying to charge someone with a felony offense who just recently arrived there, if they’d file charges against someone who has only been there 4 times, they can definitely file charges against Cooper.
At the least Blaine Cooper will have to keep an extremely low profile for an extended period of time. At the worst the feds will file a warrant for his arrest and charge him with the same offense Ritzheimer was charged with. Only time will tell
It is looking like Ritzheimer and Cooper will be occupied for a while. The patriotic communities are going to temporarily, if not permanently, lose two of their community leaders. I would assume that Ritzheimer’s family will run his website rogueinfidel.com, I’m not sure who is going to try to fill the gap left in Cooper’s absence.
If the associated communities are to survive, people are going to have to stand up and take control of the situation in their absence. Chaos can be a very destructive force if it is left to linger for too long.
As for Ritzheimer and Cooper, it will be much harder to accomplish whatever it is they have set out to do. It’s safe to say after this incident they will probably be monitored by the government for quite some time.
