“I think civil disobedience has a place it’s unfortunate it happened here. At the same time it starts a conversation we need to have,” -Victoria Bonney

Obviously some people haven’t learned from what happened as a result of the #ericsheppardchallenge.  Committing criminal activities to prove your point usually encourages more people to be against you rather than for you.  When the #ericsheppardchallenge flag burners started associating themselves with #blacklivesmatter it turned millions of people against the entire movement.  The same can be said about vandalizing a statue of a historic icon in American history.  You won’t be convincing anyone that Black Lives Matter, you’ll just be convincing people to oppose your cause.
